Bromfield is a large rural parish in Cumbria, situated between Wigton and
Aspatria. The parish church is dedicated to St Mungo, and contains some very
old memorials inside the church, including those for members of the Boucher
family. Nearby is a well also dedicated to St Mungo.
Some photos from Bromfield are to be found on my online album; these pho-
tos at Bromfield Churchyard are of the older part of the churchyard, many of
the stones have been moved over the years and are not in their original posi-
tions. Transcriptions are to be found in the comments under the photos. There
are also many other gravestones in the other section of the churchyard. A full
